Using Photostories to Enhance Poetry

I created this photostory as a model for students to emulate. I often use digital stories when teaching poetry. I find that it helps students interpret and understand poetic termonology and language. At first I have them choose a poem they would like to narrate. Once they have completed that assignment, they then go on to write their own piece for which they can also create a digital story. Here is a sample photostory I created for the poem, Hug O' War by Shel Silverstein. My students really enjoyed it.
